Student Academic Reports
Semester One reports will be sent home next Monday. This report format provides families with information about their child’s progress. All reports will highlight student achievement in the classroom, show levels of effort displayed by the students and their commitment to learning. Students in Years 1 -6 will also receive an overall grade for each Key Learning Area.
This is a sample of what the report format will look like and what each section means for you as a parent.
Thank you to the teaching staff for the many hours they have spent compiling these reports. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact your child’s teacher to discuss this further.

A MESSAGE FROM THE DEPUTY PRINCIPAL
Cross Country Ribbons
We had two fabulous Year 2 students who were ribbon recipients for our Cross Country held earlier this term. They received their ribbons at last weeks assembly. Congratulations Nellie M and Henry J, a great effort!
Movie Night
Last Thursday evening saw our students come together for Movie Night. It was so lovely to see so many of the students back on site for this event, by all accounts they had a wonderful time watching the Lorax. Thank you Mrs Griffith for organising and for the many teachers who gave up time with their families to be there for the evening. Our school leaders also did a great job at marking student names off class lists and doing a clean up in between the sessions and at the end.
Music Camp
Some of our Year 3-6 students have been lucky enough to attend Music Camp over the weekend, yesterday and today. The photos below show just what a great experience it is! Some of our Year 2 students were also able to attend during the day. I am looking forward to coming back on the bus with some of the students this afternoon, my prediction is we will have some very content and exhausted people. Thank you to the parents who have supported this program.
Year 3-6 Students On Site
For our students who did not attend Music Camp over the previous couple of days, the teachers have created multiple engaging lessons that the students rotate through across the two days. Everything from sport activities, perspective photography, chalk pastel drawing, bingo, night sky artworks, drama activities and creating rollercoasters using STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) skills just to name a few! The photos below show some of the activities. We hope you had fun!
Kind Regards

President’s Message
Hi All
Thanks to everyone who joined the June P&C General Meeting via Teams last week. Bec S, on behalf of the Events committee, presented an overview of the planned P&C community engagement and fundraising activities which was well received. We’re looking forward to hosting a BBQ early in Term 3 to kick things off and there’s a steady stream of events through the rest of 2022.
This week is the Music Camp and as always there is a huge amount of preparation that has gone into this event, led by Jules W and Jen W in partnership with the PHPS teachers. A big thanks in advance to all the volunteers who are onsite during the camp, it’s an amazing experience for the kids to have.
Just a reminder the next P&C General Meeting is in August as July falls during the school holidays.
Have a great week.
Luke Whenman
P&C President
