Welcome to the 2023 School Year!
We warmly welcome everyone to the 2023 school year. We are very much looking forward to an exciting year ahead. Welcome to all our new students and new families. You have joined an outstanding community that is very supportive of the school.
As mentioned last year we have several new staff joining us this year. Mrs Amanda Hobbs is our new Assistant Principal Curriculum and Instruction, a new role in every school. Mrs Hobbs will be working with and supporting teachers to ensure current curriculum and teaching practices are embedded.
We also welcome Miss Eliza Griggs and Miss Sarah Lester to our school. Both ladies have been permanently appointed to our school and are very excited to be joining us.
Welcome to Miss Claire Nelson who is joining us in a temporary capacity for the year. Miss Nelson has lived in and around this community her whole life and is very much looking forward to giving back.
A warm welcome to all of you.
Classes for 2023
Hopefully we have formed classes today as this is my plan at the time of writing this newsletter. However, as we are bound by numbers it will depend on the number of children who arrive at school today or have let us know that they are returning to us in the coming days. As soon as we can form classes we will. I thank you for your patience and understanding with this matter. In next week’s newsletter we will publish a full list of the school’s structure so you have a copy for your records.
Covid Update
The Covid guidelines are the same as the end of last year and we will continue to follow the advice provided to us. If your child is unwell they should be recovering at home. School is not a place for children to recover from any illness.
Please use the following link to read the full list of guidelines, Advice for families (nsw.gov.au)
P&C Meeting
Next Tuesday night will be our first P&C meeting for the year. The meeting starts at 7:30pm. It is a great way to hear what is happening in and around the school. The P&C is always in need of volunteers to assist. The P&C supports the school and its students (your children) to ensure they receive the best possible education experience. If you have skills in a particular area, please give some serious thoughts to supporting the great work of the P&C. The specific details about the meeting will be communicated in the P&C section next week.
Kind Regards
Matt Pinchbeck
Principal

- Action plans must be in colour and updated every 12months.
- All medication and actions plans are to be handed to the K-2 office regardless of which site your child attends. Once the information has been imported into our system, it will be distributed to the relevant site.
- A reminder letter will be sent home with your child as expiration dates approach.
Kindergarten and new families - please provide your child's action plan, associated documents and medication as soon as possible, if you have not done so already.
Existing families - we ask for your prompt assistance in providing your child's updated action plan and medication when requested.
School Notes
All permission notes sent home with your child will be uploaded on the school website. In the event that your child's note is misplaced and you require a replacement you will find the note under the relevant heading, accessible using the following link:

Notes can be downloaded and either emailed back to the school or returned.
We appreciate your assistance in this sustainable initiative.
